US President Donald Trump said, yesterday evening, Friday, in a speech he delivered before the conservative “Tipping Point USA” movement in Phoenix, Arizona, that it is possible to make Lebanon a “great country” again. He stressed that he had ended 10 wars, including the Iran-Lebanon war. Trump confirmed that enriched uranium will be transferred from Iran to the United States under any peace agreement concluded, indicating that Washington will provide assistance to Tehran to extract it from the nuclear facilities that were destroyed last year. He continued, saying: "We will need the largest excavators and extract it in cooperation with Iran and return it to the United States very soon." Trump stressed that Iran "will never possess a nuclear weapon." Trump had said earlier on Friday that he did not believe that there were many fundamental differences with Iran at the current stage. In a brief interview with reporters, Trump indicated that talks between Washington and Tehran would resume at the beginning of the week.
