French President Emmanuel Macron commented on the ceasefire, saying that Hezbollah must give up its weapons, and Israel must respect Lebanon’s sovereignty and stop the war. He added that ensuring the security of civilians on both sides of the border between Lebanon and Israel is necessary. Macron called for continuing talks in order to reach a political solution that includes Israel’s withdrawal and the disarmament of Hezbollah. He also expressed his concern about the threat to the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel as a result of the continuation of military operations.
