The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, confirmed during his meeting with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Fahmy, that Israel did not adhere to the formula of the framework, noting that the south is still vulnerable to daily violations, stressing that this matter will not lead to a result, but rather will increase the Lebanese people’s attachment to their land and their rights, but in return it does not help the Lebanese state implement the goals it has set. Aoun pointed out that "Lebanon is adhering to the diplomatic solution, despite its difficulty, because it is much less costly than the devastating war for which the Lebanese, especially the people of the south, are paying a price, and that it is time for Lebanon to rest." Aoun said: “Lebanon welcomes any effort and endeavor by the Arab League to help Lebanon overcome this difficult stage it is going through, especially since the League has always stood by Lebanon at various stages.” For his part, the Secretary-General of the Arab League affirmed support for the Lebanese state with all its institutions, and standing by it politically, economically and socially, noting that Lebanon is one of the priorities of the Arab League and one of my priorities as Secretary-General. He announced that he would visit the south in light of the repeated Israeli attacks on Lebanese citizens and interests, stressing that he would work to direct the efforts of the Arab League towards everything that serves Lebanon and its state.
