The party's deputy addressed those who made these arrogant, seditious statements and tweets, saying: “Resistance is the necessary and legitimate national defense option for Lebanon.” He pointed out that “attempts to demonize and insult the resistance are a national and moral crime driven by foreign Zionism, met with a coup and shameless disavowal by some of the content of the National Accord Document, and favoritism towards external forces that are pressuring Lebanon and the Lebanese to fall into the arms of the Zionist enemy, its sponsors and agents.” The party's deputy added, "These pressures are leading Lebanon and the Lebanese to deliberately violate the Constitution and the applicable Lebanese laws, and encourage them to become dependent on projects of surrender, normalization with the occupier, and the complete overthrow of national sovereignty for the benefit of the Zionist enemy and its expansionist project against Lebanon and the region."
