MP George Okais wrote through his account on the “X” platform: “It was possible for the state to regain some of its prestige within a week: by referring the incident of transporting explosives inside Lebanese territory to the Judicial Council in view of the clear threat to national security, and to immediately dismiss the complaint filed against the Lebanese ambassador to Washington, and to directly pursue the complainants for their described abuse of the pillars of government, represented by Nada Hamadeh. Once again, a wasted opportunity, even though it did not require extraordinary power nor tremendous plans and efforts.”
