The Israeli army announced that it attacked Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon in response to the detonation of an explosive device in the security zone. Israeli army spokeswoman Ella Waweya said in a statement published on "X": "Earlier today, an explosive device planted by Hezbollah detonated near an engineering vehicle belonging to the Israeli army forces in the security zone in southern Lebanon. This resulted in two IDF soldiers sustaining minor injuries, and they were transferred to receive medical treatment." She added that, "in response, the Israeli army immediately attacked a number of terrorist infrastructures in several areas in southern Lebanon." She pointed out that "among the targeted infrastructures were observation posts and terrorist infrastructure used by Hezbollah operatives to advance and carry out terrorist plots against our forces." She explained that "the army forces continue to deploy in the security zone in southern Lebanon in accordance with the agreement, and will continue to work to remove threats against the citizens of the State of Israel and our army forces." She stated that "the Israeli army will continue to act forcefully in the face of Hezbollah's repeated attempts to harm our forces."
