The Army Command clarified that in the context of the tasks carried out by military units inside the town of Deir Mimas - Marjeyoun, an army patrol established a newly created temporary observation point at the outskirts of the town on 10/9/2026, in coordination with the Military Coordination Group for Lebanon (MCG4L), to accompany residents while they inspected agricultural lands. It indicated that on 18/9/2026, a force belonging to the Israeli occupation approached the newly created point inside what is called the security zone, and threw sound bombs in the vicinity of the area. Following that, the army reinforced the point, and a state of alert occurred between the two sides. As a result of contacts that took place via the MCG4L, the Israeli occupation force left the location, and the army elements then returned to their main post in the town. Follow-up is underway in coordination with the MCG4L.
