Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Ammar condemned the Israeli army's attack on the Lebanese Army in Deir Mimas, pointing out that this serious incident requires the authorities to sound the alarm. Ammar noted that these attacks are the natural consequence of the misguided and humiliating path pursued by the authorities, and of the approach that persisted in making concessions to the occupation, thus legitimizing the occupation's presence through the framework agreement which the Israeli enemy tore up and trampled upon from day one. He added that "the enemy has become the one who calls the shots and makes the decisions, dictating to the Lebanese Army where to deploy, which area to enter, and which area it is forbidden to approach, while the authorities are incapable of making a decision that preserves the dignity and prestige of their army." He stated that what happened in Deir Mimas is an aggression against the whole of Lebanon, considering that it should serve as an incentive for the authorities to review their paths and options, halt their futile negotiations with the enemy, and put an end to the torrent of concessions and blind reliance on the United States of America and the international community. Ammar considered that the United States and Israel do not want a strong state and an army capable of protecting its sovereignty, but rather a weak, submissive state that yields to their dictates, stripped of the ability to defend itself. Ammar affirmed that the Lebanese Army is strong through its willpower, the steadfastness of its soldiers, and the popular rallying around it, and what is required is to empower it to play its true role in protecting Lebanon, its sovereignty, and its people, to politically and militarily fortify it, and to protect its national decision-making from any dictates or tutelage.
