The organizers of the international event proceeded from the premise that Lebanon is a peace-loving country that can be expressed through painting, architecture, music, culture, and other civilizational stations, and that substantial appreciation prizes will be distributed to the winners of the event, which its organizers look forward to being an annual festival. Amin Rihani Foundation President Aoun received the President of the Amin Rihani Foundation, Amin Albert Rihani, and members: Sarmad Albert Rihani, George Tanios Azar Zoghbi, Ibrahim Zoud, and Kamal Nakhla, in the presence of: Asmahan Eid Elias, Mona Akel, and Gisele Joseph Hashem. The delegation briefed the President of the Republic on the program of the second part of the celebrations organized by the foundation on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Amin Rihani (1876-2026) in cooperation with the Rihani Museum in El-Frayekha, within the framework of the events declaring 2026 the Year of Rihani to revive the memory of his one hundred and fiftieth birthday, whom the US Congressional Office described as "the Founding Father of Arab-American Literature." The Foundation's President explained that the second part of the anniversary events will begin on the twelfth of next October and continue until the end of January 2027, and will culminate in a ceremony to inaugurate the monument and raise the statue of Rihani, which will be held under the patronage of the President of the Republic in conjunction with Rihani's birthday in his hometown of El-Frayekha (Matn district). President Aoun praised the efforts made by the Amin Rihani Foundation and the role it plays in shedding light on the thought of the great writer who enriched the Arab library with works that embodied his distinguished literary presence. The President of the Republic considered that commemorating the 150th anniversary of Amin Rihani's birth is an occasion to highlight the literary and intellectual values he represents, and his literary role in Lebanon and countries of the world, especially in the United States of America. Member of the National Assembly of Quebec President Aoun received the member of the National Assembly of Quebec in Canada, Alice Abou Khalil, and discussed with her Lebanese-Canadian relations and ways to develop them in all fields. He was also briefed by her on the conditions of the Lebanese diaspora in Quebec in particular and Montreal in general. Abou Khalil, who hails from the town of Bleibel in the Baabda district, expressed her happiness at coming to Lebanon and keeping communication ongoing between resident and diasporan Lebanese. She presented her parliamentary work in the Quebec National Assembly. President Aoun also received former President of the Republic Michel Sleiman and was briefed by him on his visit to the South. After the meeting, President Sleiman praised Aoun's visit to the South. He said: "I commended President Joseph Aoun's visit to the South as a culmination of the step of deploying the army in Nabatieh, and I hoped that Hezbollah will not commit henceforth the major sin represented by not handing over the Ali Al-T Taher hill to the Lebanese Army despite the appeals directed to the party on the necessity of taking this step courageously before it is too late to avoid losing opportunities once again." If it is known that Lebanon's enemies are betting on the failure of the co-existence formula and the loss of the Lebanese message stemming from it and directed to the entire world, then those who believe in Lebanon must strive to support the President of the State and its institutions to establish the state of law, the sovereign and independent state, and work to quash sedition and prevent it from creeping into Lebanese ranks, and not be dependent on the outside or accuse and villainize other parties, and steer away from what encourages polarization, division, fragmentation, and naturalization according to what Lebanon's enemies desire. President of the Republic Joseph Aoun received the President of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) Mohammed Ben Sulayem, and discussed with him the reality of motorsport in Lebanon and ways to develop it. Aoun emphasized that "motorsport is a bridge of communication between Lebanon and the world, and the Rally of Lebanon presents it as a potential destination for international sporting and tourism events." For his part, Ben Sulayem announced that the FIA will continue to support rally races in Lebanon logistically and financially, noting that "the federation intends to hold a major championship on Lebanese soil."
