The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Social Security Fund, Bechara Al-Asmar, announced after meeting President Joseph Aoun that he had demanded the formation of a ministerial economic cell to follow up on the living pressures facing the Lebanese. Al-Asmar indicated that he also called for expediting the convening of the Index Committee and increasing the transport allowance, pointing out that President Aoun expressed his support for these demands. He explained that work to form the ministerial cell awaits the return of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam from abroad, in preparation for launching practical measures aimed at alleviating the living burdens on the Lebanese.
