The Islamic Charitable Projects Association ("Al-Masharii") clarified in a statement that "the incident that occurred in the Abi Haidar area is an individual dispute between two families, and the association has no relation to it whatsoever, directly or indirectly." While affirming the association's "permanent keenness on the security and stability of the area, and on preserving fraternal relations among its people," it called "not to drag the association's name into any dispute or incident that has no connection to it, and not to circulate inaccurate news or information that would stir up confusion among the residents of the area. It "categorically denied any relation to this incident," hoping for "calm and stability for all," and affirming its "continuation in its approach based on cooperation, affection, and serving the people."
