MP Bilal Abdallah said that the framework agreement did not achieve the national interest and was not decisive, pointing out that "the failure to confiscate Hezbollah's weapons does not justify Israeli attacks." Abdallah affirmed that "the Lebanese authority is serious in its decision," noting that the President of the Republic is performing his duties and the government has taken the decision, while the real test lies in the implementation. He pointed out that "the strategic relationship between Hezbollah and Iran is normal, at a time when Israel continues killing and destruction and procrastinates in implementing the provisions of the framework agreement," calling for "an official reference that prevents Lebanon from remaining an arena for foreign agendas." Abdallah stressed "the necessity of raising the ceiling of negotiations, especially in light of the absence of security guarantees for the people of the South, and the continuation of Israeli statements confirming the persistence of the aggressive policy."
