The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, announced the dissolution of the forces and the Autonomous Administration and all military and civilian formations affiliated with them, and their full integration into the institutions of the Syrian state. Abdi's announcement came during a press conference held at the People's Palace in the capital, Damascus. Abdi said: "Today we stand at a historical moment in which we turn an important page in the history of Syria, and begin to open a new page entitled peace, stability and construction."
