The General Directorate of Islamic Endowments in Lebanon held a celebration on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet's birthday, in the presence of Prime Minister Judge Nawaf Salam, the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic Sheikh Abdul Latif Deryan, former Prime Ministers Najib Mikati, Fouad Siniora, Tammam Salam, and Hassan Diab, Interior Minister Brigadier General Ahmad al-Hajjar, a number of deputies, and former ministers and deputies.
Deryan pointed out that Dar Al-Fatwa considers any targeting of the Prime Ministry to be a targeting of the nation in all its sects, and also rejects the targeting of either the first or second presidencies.
Deryan considered that cooperation and coordination between the three presidencies are the guarantee of Lebanon's unity and the unity of its people to emerge from its successive crises, stressing that Dar Al-Fatwa will remain committed to its religious message and pursuing its moderate, centrist Islamic and national approach, no matter how intense the impact of malicious arrows directed at it becomes.
For his part, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam extended his congratulations on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday, and said on the anniversary of the blessed Prophet's birthday, we recall from the biography of the Prophet Muhammad justice, mercy, and tolerance, the rejection of division and fanaticism, and the prioritization of peace and bringing people together for good.
He continued, "May our people return to their land and homes, and may we all gather under the roof of a single state, strong and just, that safeguards the dignity of its citizens and protects them."
