Representative Saeed Al-Asmar announced that unknown persons distributed leaflets addressed to a number of representatives in the villages and towns of the Jezzine region at dawn today, indicating the availability of information about the distribution of similar leaflets in the Jounieh region, with the possibility of expanding the campaign to other regions. Al-Asmar explained that the relevant security services were contacted and provided with the available data and images, calling for an investigation to be opened to reveal the identity of the people and the party behind the campaign and to determine its goals and motives. He pointed out that the content of the leaflets and the method of distributing them in an organized and anonymous manner raises question marks, stressing that freedom of expression and political difference are guaranteed rights, but any move to intimidation or threats, direct or hidden, is unacceptable and will not deter representatives from exercising their role.
