Representative Michel Moussa announced that the President of the Republic has the authority to reject the general amnesty law after studying it, stressing that the President is still within the legal deadline to reject it.
Moussa indicated that if the President of the Republic rejects the law, and the House of Representatives does not vote on it by a two-thirds majority, it will be amended.
Musa wished for the continued presence of UNIFIL forces, despite the decision to end their duties, pointing out that there are efforts to establish a UN force in the south that will witness Israeli practices and attacks.
Regarding the possibility of a return to war between Iran and the United States, Moussa said: “No one knows, and we hope that calm will prevail on all fronts,” stressing that there is an interest for both parties in reaching an agreement.
