Speaker of the Iranian Shura Council: I stopped negotiations after the recent attack on the suburb

The head of the Iranian Shura Council, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, explained that in the recent attack that targeted the suburb, he stopped negotiations and announced that Iran would strike Israel tonight.
He said in a conversation with a group of cultural elites: “If Israel responds, we will strike the entire region.”
He added: “The result was that they lifted the siege that same night, even though the agreement stipulated that it be lifted within 30 days.”
Qalibaf pointed out that when US President Donald Trump posted a tweet in which he said that the blockade and the Strait of Hormuz would be opened together tonight, Qalibaf announced that if he did not correct the false claim regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Iran would carry out the attack, which forced Trump to amend his post.
