The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: Within the framework of the continuous follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to limit drug trafficking operations and their promotion in various Lebanese regions, the Information Division had information about unknown people promoting drugs in the North Governorate. As a result, the specialized units in the division began their field and information procedures to identify and arrest them. As a result of investigations and investigations, the Division was able to reveal their identities: -And. A. A. (Born in 2000, Palestinian), nicknamed “Obama.” – M. Sh. (Born in 1996, Palestinian), nicknamed “Al-Tabloj.” On August 12, 2026, after careful monitoring and surveillance, one of the Division’s patrols stopped them in the Al-Madfoun locality, while they were on board a taxi designated for transporting passengers. Upon searching them, they found in their possession: /22/ large transparent nylon bags containing salvia weighing 2784 grams, and /3/ small transparent bags containing the same substance weighing 21 grams, and /3/ small transparent bags containing plastic tubes with cocaine buzz inside weighing 37 grams, in addition to two cell phones. During interrogation, they admitted that they had obtained the drugs from the Al-Laylaki locality in order to distribute them in different areas of the North Governorate. The legal action was taken against them, and they were handed over with the seized items to the relevant authority, based on the reference of the competent judiciary.
