Salam: The advancement of Nabatieh is an essential priority to stabilize the return of the people of the south

Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam held a meeting devoted to following up on the reconstruction in the city of Nabatieh, in the presence of the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamni, the Chairman of the Council for Development and Reconstruction, Muhammad Ali Qabbani, the President of the South Council, Hashem Haidar, the Director General of Civil Planning, Ali Ramadan, the Director of the Central Operations Room in the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Zahi Shaheen, the Mayor of Nabatieh, Abbas Fakhr El-Din, and members of the Municipal Council, Hussein Jaber, Khader Qudeih, Muhammad Kahil, and Muhammad. Hijazi.
President Salam confirmed after the meeting that the development of the city of Nabatieh, the capital of Jabal Amel, constitutes a basic priority within the efforts to develop the south and stabilize the return of its people to their towns and villages, stressing the importance of the city’s role as a center for the governorate, and the administrative, economic and service functions it undertakes.
During the meeting, the progress achieved in the city’s path of return and development was presented, and the most prominent needs and challenges it still faces were discussed, especially in terms of infrastructure, facilities and public services. Mechanisms were agreed upon to follow up on these files and coordinate work among the concerned authorities, in a way that accelerates the implementation of priority procedures and projects.
