The President of the Republic received at Baabda Palace the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Ahmed Al-Hajjar, and briefed him on the general security situation in the country, and the security measures and traffic measures taken in various Lebanese regions, especially in major cities and places that witness heavy movement of citizens, especially during religious occasions and the tourist season. During the meeting, Al-Hajjar pointed to the efforts made by the security services to maintain stability and enhance security. The research also touched on the conditions of municipalities and the ongoing efforts to secure the necessary support for them, enabling them to continue performing their role and providing basic services to citizens.
