Egyptian star Mohamed Salah announced that he will leave his team Liverpool at the end of the current season, despite having extended his contract with the Reds last year. Salah posted a video on his official account on the social media platform X, in which he said: Hello everyone, unfortunately the day has come. This is the first part of my farewell. I am leaving Liverpool at the end of the season, I never imagined how deep this club, this city, and the people would get into my life. The Liverpool top scorer added: Liverpool is not just a football club. It is passion, history, soul. I cannot explain in words, we won the most important titles and fought together in the most difficult period of my life. I would like to thank everyone who has been part of this club throughout my time here. He continued: I do not have enough words. The support you gave me in the best times of my career and stood by me in my most difficult times. I will never forget, leaving is never easy. I will always remain one of you and this club will always remain my home and my family. Thank you for everything. Because of you all, I will never walk alone. It is worth noting that the 33-year-old player has become an icon at Liverpool during his nine years at the club, having played 435 matches for the club across all competitions, scoring 255 goals and providing an additional 119 assists. Salah has won all championships with Liverpool, including two English Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League, the FA Cup, the Carabao Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
