The army leadership called on citizens to be responsible in light of the calls for demonstrations and movements in Beirut and other regions, affirming its respect for freedom of peaceful expression of opinion, and stressing the importance of unity and solidarity to confront the challenges that Lebanon is going through. The Army Command confirmed that it would not allow any disturbance of security or prejudice to civil peace through uncalculated movements, blocking roads, or trespassing on public and private property.
