The Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Raed Abdullah, issued a “general order” on the occasion of June 9, the 165th anniversary of the Security Forces: “People’s trust is a responsibility... and serving the nation is a message.” He said: “The 165th anniversary of the Internal Security Forces is upon us, and this ancient institution is still immortal with its martyrs and steadfast with its members. The best thing we promise the nation today is our assurance to continue performing our national mission, in light of the delicate circumstances and challenges.” “The various challenges that require us all to be on alert, with greater vigilance and steadfastness, to carry out our national mission that we have pledged, which constitutes the cornerstone of the nation’s strength, construction, and development.” He continued: “Security is not limited to history and achievements, nor to recalling efforts. Rather, it is a daily sacrifice and an endless renewal, with a commitment to responsibility in accordance with what the job and national values require, and I know that you are the best of those who were and still are in the covenant, because you have demonstrated your loyalty, drive and patience in the harshest circumstances that this institution and Lebanon are going through. You have proven your ability to adapt to these dire circumstances, you and your families who I supported you, and you were able to balance your responsibilities and your personal life with all determination and will, because you believe in yourself and your duties, as well as in this institution and its mission, and this can only be done from the principle of dedication and sincerity in performing your duty.” He added: "The responsibilities placed on us are increasing day by day, in light of the security, political, economic and social transformations the world is witnessing, as well as the rapid technological transformations it is witnessing. Hence, our duty requires us to be at the highest levels of discipline and professionalism, abide by the law, and enhance confidence in society and people, based on cooperation and partnership based on the principle of one destiny, under the slogan (Together towards a safer society). Especially in light of the successive crises that the nation is suffering from, with regard to the dilapidated economic situation, the security situation that we are living in in light of the aggression against the nation, and the social situation that imposed a situation of forced displacement, and this is what the nation is suffering throughout its geography, affecting the tasks of all sectors of the security forces and their centers without exception.” He said: “Hence, our strength lies in enforcing the law, respecting human rights, and adhering to the morals and human values that people have known about us, and to that I add the issue of consolidating the spirit of solidarity that enhances the strength of the institution and people’s confidence in it, based on the unity of the ranks and the integration of roles. Successful security in this era has become the result of joint efforts and a comprehensive vision that is the first to contain evil. Let us continue our sacrifice and responsibility, despite the burdens and pressures that do not exclude anyone.” The nation and the people have the right to live in security every day, regardless of any consideration, so live up to these hopes, and your efforts are appreciated and valued in various positions and tasks.” He continued: “On this holiday, we remember with all reverence our righteous martyrs who gave their lives in defense of the homeland and protecting the security of its people. They were and will remain a beacon that reflects their loyalty and sacrifices in performing duty with all honor and sincerity. They have all appreciation, and their families have all support and support. The next stage requires us to adhere to the values of integrity, efficiency and transparency, continue to develop our capabilities and skills, and keep up with developments in a way that enhances Our readiness and effectiveness, and this is what we pledge to renew the anniversary of the founding of the security forces, which we all believe in their ability to be the ideal security institution with its national and moral constants.” He concluded: “I renew my confidence in you and your abilities to continue carrying out your mission with all courage and dedication.
