The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation announced that hostile Israeli raids targeted the army on 3/17/2026, which led to the martyrdom of 3 soldiers and the injury of 5 others in the areas of Zabdine, Qaqaiyat Al-Jisr and Al-Duair - Nabatieh. She said in a statement: “This coincided with the continuation of the Israeli attacks, which caused a large number of martyrs and injuries, and left widespread destruction of property and infrastructure.” The Army Command condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli attacks targeting soldiers and civilians, noting that “their continuation at an increasing pace reveals the destructive intentions of the Israeli occupation towards our homeland, and represents a flagrant violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty, the security of its citizens, and relevant international resolutions, and it also reflects negatively on stability in the region.” In this context, the army leadership stressed the necessity of implementing international resolutions, especially Resolution 1701, and adhering to the cessation of hostilities agreement.
