Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei confirmed that Tehran has not yet reached an agreement with the United States of America, pointing out that the exchange of messages is still continuing and no final touches have been put on any understanding yet. Baghaei said: “At this stage, we are focusing on ending the war and we do not have negotiations on the details of the nuclear program.” He explained that "the management of the Strait of Hormuz must be decided by Iran and the Sultanate of Oman," stressing the necessity of adopting mechanisms that preserve the interests and national security of the two countries with regard to navigation in the Strait. He considered that "the United States' lifting of what it described as a 'naval blockade' means it will stop practicing illegal action," noting that what the Americans call a naval blockade was from the beginning an illegal measure and a violation of the ceasefire.
