Lebanese Customs announced on the “X” platform, “As part of its ongoing efforts to combat smuggling and support the national economy, the Smuggling Investigation Division in the General Customs Directorate was able, on 05/08/2026, to seize large quantities of smuggled tobacco materials in the Baabda and Bourj Hammoud regions, through two separate operations. The smuggled materials included cigars and electronic cigarettes, in addition to tobacco tobacco materials and honey.” The legal requirements were carried out under the supervision of the competent judiciary.”
