The Ministry of Finance issued the following statement: “Some media outlets and social media platforms are circulating false information, perhaps for suspicious purposes, claiming that the Ministry of Finance has refrained from disbursing school aid allocations to military personnel and retirees from the security forces. The Ministry of Finance confirms that these allegations are absolutely untrue, as these grants have been disbursed nearly a month ago and there are no files left for any department that have not been completed, the most recent of which were the files for the retirees of the Internal Security Forces and the General Directorate of Administration in the Ministry of Defense, and all of them were transferred through the Bank of Lebanon to the accounts of each beneficiary, each from their approved bank. Therefore, the statement is required.
