The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, expressed his pain over the martyrdom of journalist Amal Khalil as a result of the Israeli bombing that targeted the town of Al-Tiri yesterday, in which the journalist Zainab Faraj was also injured. President Aoun believed that Israel's intention to directly target media professionals is to hide the truth about its aggressive commitments against Lebanon, in addition to the fact that they are crimes against humanity punishable by international laws and norms and constitute an incentive for the international community to intervene to put an end to them. President Aoun offered his condolences to the family of the martyred journalist who joined the caravan of martyred media professionals who preceded her on the path of martyrdom in the south as well. He also offered his condolences to the family of “Al-Akhbar” newspaper and the Lebanese and Arab media family, asking for her mercy and for all of them patience and solace. He also wished a speedy recovery to her colleague Zainab Faraj, who was injured in the same attack.
