The President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, followed up on the circumstances that accompanied the detention of journalists Zainab Faraj and Amal Khalil in the town of Al-Tiri, as a result of the Israeli forces’ bombing of the town.
President Aoun asked the “Lebanese Red Cross to work to rescue the two media professionals and their companions and to coordinate with the army and international forces to complete the rescue operation as quickly as possible,” reiterating his “call not to harm media workers while performing their media duties.”
