Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported, citing sources, that the army thwarted an attempt by Hezbollah members to storm a military site in southern Lebanon.
The sources indicated that there are gaps between the army and the political leadership regarding the concept of defense in southern Lebanon.
The newspaper also quoted an army battalion commander as saying that the forces are working to create a "buffer zone" in southern Lebanon, stressing that the goal is for the fighting to always take place in "enemy territory."
