The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement: In light of the continuing Israeli attacks on various Lebanese regions, and the increasing challenges facing the country, calls have recently emerged for citizens urging them to gather and protest in an effort to achieve several demands. The army leadership, while affirming its respect for the right to peaceful expression of opinion, strongly warns against any action that might endanger stability and civil peace, or lead to attacks on public and private property. It also stresses that the army will intervene firmly to prevent any harm to internal stability, at a time when Lebanon needs the highest levels of awareness and responsibility. The leadership also calls on citizens to respond to the directives of the deployed military units.
