The Information and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defense issued the following statement: The General Directorate of Civil Defense announces, according to the data available at its centers spread across Lebanese territory, that the toll of the recent Israeli attacks has been distributed across the regions as follows: Beirut: 92 martyrs and 742 wounded Southern Beirut suburb: 61 martyrs and 200 wounded Baalbek: 18 martyrs and 28 wounded Hermel: 9 martyrs and 6 wounded Nabatieh: 28 martyrs and 59 wounded Aley District: 17 martyrs and 6 wounded Sidon: 12 martyrs and 56 wounded Photos: 17 martyrs and 68 wounded Thus, the total number rose to 254 martyrs and 1,165 wounded. Civil Defense personnel worked to carry out ambulance operations, evacuate the wounded, and transport the martyrs from the targeted sites, in addition to rescuing a number of citizens who were detained under the rubble, under extremely dangerous and complex field conditions. The specialized teams are still continuing search and rescue operations and removing rubble in a number of locations, which indicates that the death toll is likely to rise as field work continues. The General Directorate of Civil Defense affirms its full commitment to pursuing its humanitarian and national tasks, in cooperation with emergency societies, calling on citizens to cooperate with the teams working in the field, and to allow them to carry out their duties to the fullest extent.
