Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee announced that the forces of the 98th Division joined the focused ground operation in southern Lebanon. He said via “X”: “During the last week, the forces of the 98th Division expanded the scope of focused ground operations to include additional targets in southern Lebanon in conjunction with the actions of the 91st, 36th, 146th and 162nd Military Divisions. The Israeli army forces have completed their deployment on the line preventing the launch of anti-tank missiles and continue to work in the region with the aim of strengthening the front defense line and removing the threat to the residents of the north.” Adraee added: “The forces of the 98th Division are operating in operational points where field control has been achieved, with the aim of combing the area of terrorist elements and infrastructure,” in parallel with the artillery and air bombardment that targeted Hezbollah’s centers of gravity.” He stated, "The Israeli army will continue to act forcefully against Hezbollah, which has decided to join the battle and work under the auspices of the Iranian regime."
