A suspicious box with an electrical wire sticking out of it, suspected to be an explosive device, was found on the road between the towns of Kfarzabad and Ain Kfarzabad in the central Bekaa, near the Lebanese-Syrian border. Immediately, a force from the Lebanese Army Engineering Regiment arrived and worked to blow up the suspicious object, without recording any human casualties. Then the Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement: “On the night of 10/12/13/2026, when information became available about an old camouflaged device prepared to explode on the side of a secondary dirt road in the Kafr Zahle area, a specialized army unit went to the location and worked to dismantle the device and detonate it in place due to the danger of transporting it. We are following up to reveal the rest of the details.”
