Al-Jumhuriya newspaper reported that the ambassador of a major country informed Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri of the possibility of an Israeli escalation against Lebanon in the next stage. According to the newspaper, Berri downplayed the importance of bets on the results of the Israeli elections or the possibility of US President Donald Trump launching a broad attack on Iran, saying: “It is all insight.” Berri stressed the need to avoid internal and lateral battles, stressing that “national unity is the most important and foundational” at this stage, calling for maximum efforts to be made to fortify it.
