The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: “As part of the continuous follow-up carried out by the Internal Security Forces to limit drug trafficking and drug trafficking operations in various Lebanese regions, data was available to the Information Division about the activity of drug trafficking networks in many different regions of the Mount Lebanon Governorate. On the dates of 09/21/22 and 09/23/2026, as a result of field follow-up and intensification of patrols in areas where promotion operations were active, the Division’s patrols carried out ambushes and raids in the areas of: Balat - Jbeil, Al-Jnah, Ghadeer - Keserwan, Al-Ruwaisat, and Al-Nabaa, where they arrested 6 members of these networks, red-handed, and seized 4 motorized bicycles. And two cars, all used in promotional operations. The detainees are: C. H. (Born in 1971, Lebanese) A. Kh. (Born in 1997, Syrian) H. Z. (Born in 2008, Syrian) b. p. (Born in 2001, Syrian) H. n. (Born in 2008, Lebanese) Kh. A. (Born in 2007, Syrian) By searching them, the motorbikes, and the house of the first detainee, where the drugs were being packed, a large quantity of narcotic substances was seized, packed in bags, cans, medicines, plastic capsules, and envelopes of cocaine, vape, hashish, marijuana, salvia, narcotic pills (Captagon and others), two military pistols with two combs, a sensitive scale, a strainer, Two needles, empty bags and papers used to package drugs, 4 cell phones, and sums of money. By interrogating them, they confessed to what was attributed to them. The legal requirements were carried out against them, and the relevant reference was deposited with the seized items, based on the reference of the competent judiciary.”
