Prime Minister Nawaf Salam laid the foundation stone for the new Civil Defense headquarters in Nabatieh. He said: “The Civil Defense Center in Nabatieh presented martyrs in order to save people and serve them. Hence, today we remember the martyrs who fell while carrying out their humanitarian duty, and we salute all their comrades who continued, and are still continuing, to perform this mission despite all the circumstances.” He added: "The least duty towards these young people is to have a new center that suits them and provides them with the necessary capabilities and conditions to carry out their duty. Today we are laying the foundation stone for this center, and the Southern Council will undertake the construction work, and God willing, we will meet here again, as soon as possible, to open it."
