The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement: On 10/1/2026, as a result of monitoring and control operations at the northern and eastern borders, an army unit seized about 245 kilograms of highly explosive TNT, 4 explosive devices and an 8-pack detonator, in addition to electrical wires for detonators, while they were smuggled from Syrian territory into Lebanon. The smugglers fled towards Syrian territory immediately after an army patrol arrived at the place. The seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities, and follow-up and coordination are underway to arrest those involved.
