The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued a statement saying, “In accordance with the provisions of Article 24 of the Military Justice Law, relating to referring perpetrators of desertion from service, whether inside or outside the country, before the Permanent Military Court, the Army Command calls on all deserters and expelled soldiers due to desertion, who have not previously settled their judicial status, to take the initiative to complete the necessary legal procedures before the Permanent Military Court, in accordance with the established procedures.” The statement added, "The Army Command confirms that the issuance of the demobilization decision and obtaining the demobilization document and clearance do not mean settling the judicial situation resulting from desertion, nor do they replace the completion of the required legal procedures before the Permanent Military Court." The leadership also draws the attention of those concerned to the need to adhere to the content of this circular, in order to avoid the legal repercussions that may result from not settling their situations. He continued: “This circular is considered a notification and alert to all concerned, and the Army Command invites them to communicate with the Permanent Military Court via the “Whatsapp” application, exclusively by text messages, on the number 81/907464, to inquire about the procedures that must be followed and the required documents, which are: An official document to prove personal identity (passport, individual registration certificate, or driver’s license). Discharge from service document. Clearance, if available. Note that failure to obtain a discharge does not constitute an obstacle to initiating judicial settlement procedures.
