Flydubai revealed that an argument had occurred inside the cockpit on board Flight FZ 1073, heading from Dubai International Airport to Ben Gurion International Airport, on Wednesday. The company spokesman explained, "The Flydubai crew who was on board the flight was able to control the situation, changing the plane's course and landing it safely at Tabuk Airport in Saudi Arabia, and all passengers and crew members are fine." He added: "We have operated two alternative flights to Tabuk, and we give the highest priority to transporting passengers and completing their journey to Tel Aviv, noting that the carrier's flights through the (Flydubai) network are operating according to their usual schedule." The spokesman continued: “At this initial stage, the reasons and motives behind this incident are still unknown and are subject to an official investigation, and we urge everyone to refrain from making premature speculation while the authorities collect the facts.” He concluded: “Our top priority currently is to ensure the safety and health of our passengers and crew members involved in this incident, and to support the official investigation.” Earlier on Wednesday, the company announced that the flight had been involved in an accident while in flight, and that the plane had landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, noting that all its passengers were fine. A Flydubai spokesman explained that it will issue additional updates when more confirmed details are available.
