Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergei Koretsky revealed on Wednesday that the total cost of the war on the country during the current year alone will reach $155 billion. He pointed out that the government intends to cover $7 billion of this gap through strict austerity measures in public finances, improving the budget and redistributing costs, and that it is holding talks with partners about how to cover the remainder of the financing gap of $20 billion. He pointed out that this is the first time that Kiev has revealed estimates of the annual war costs, and there are no figures for the year 2025 for comparison.
