MP Ibrahim Kanaan wrote through his account on the “X” platform: “The position of the President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on direct negotiations and the framework agreement, and on strengthening the army’s capabilities and preserving its role, is a constitutional, patriotic and responsible position, and today it constitutes the only path available to Lebanon to try to restore its stability, its state, and its sovereignty over its land and its institutions. Whoever has another practical solution, let him put it on the table. Otherwise, let him stand behind the President of the Republic and support his position, out of compassion for the people and the country.”
