Salam Meets Al-Alimi: To Extend State Authority Over All Territories of Lebanon and Yemen

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam met with the Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council in the Republic of Yemen, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, in New York, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, in the presence of Lebanon's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Ahmed Arafeh.
During the meeting, discussions covered developments in Lebanon, Yemen, and the region, as well as the challenges facing both countries in light of the current regional circumstances.
The two sides emphasized the importance of extending state authority and its legitimate forces over the entire territories of both Lebanon and Yemen, in a manner that safeguards the sovereignty of the two countries and enhances security and stability, alongside continuing efforts to de-escalate and spare the region further confrontations.
