Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam chaired a meeting attended by Minister of Economy and Trade Amer Al-Bissat, Minister of Interior and Municipalities Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Hajjar, President of the Economic Committees and former Minister Mohammed Choucair, Governor of Beirut Judge Marwan Abboud, and President of the Beirut Municipality Ibrahim Zeidan. The meeting was dedicated to discussing the reactivation of the central fruit and vegetable market in Beirut. During the meeting, the current status of the market and the steps required for its restart were reviewed, notably addressing existing administrative and logistical obstacles, and securing the necessary conditions to reopen it and organize work within it. Prime Minister Salam stressed the need to expedite the completion of the required procedures to reactivate the market, in coordination with the relevant ministries and departments and the Beirut Municipality. Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam also chaired a meeting dedicated to following up on priority projects in the South, attended by Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rassamni, President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction Mohammed Ali Kabbani, Head of the Council of the South Hashem Haidar, Secretary-General of the Higher Relief Commission Brigadier General Bassam Al-Nabulsi, and Director of the Central Operations Room at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Zahi Shahin. During the meeting, Prime Minister Salam stressed the need to expedite the implementation of priority projects, particularly those related to removing the effects of the war and rehabilitating infrastructure and essential facilities.
