The US Embassy in Saudi Arabia called on US citizens to "reconsider travel" to the Kingdom after Riyadh issued air alerts in Mecca and other areas in light of Houthi rebel attacks. The statement warned of "the risk of American interests being targeted by Iranian drones and missiles, armed conflict, terrorism, travel ban decisions, and local laws related to social media activity," adding, "Do not travel to the border with Yemen due to the terrorist threat."
