The leaderships of the Amal Movement and Hezbollah affirmed in a joint statement that national partnership, coexistence, and civil peace constitute essential pillars for protecting Lebanon, calling for addressing disputes through dialogue, understanding, and reliance on institutions. The statement stressed the need for the state to assume its full responsibilities and address economic, social, and living crises, considering that reconstruction, compensating those affected, and the return of residents to their villages and towns represent a national priority that requires expediting its completion and benefiting from Arab and international support. The two leaderships also called on political forces to steer clear of narrow calculations and intensify communication and coordination, affirming that overcoming the current phase requires a unifying political will, protecting Lebanon, reconstruction, and reviving the state and its institutions.
