Today, the Council of Ministers also held a session dedicated to completing the research into the draft general budget law, headed by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and in the presence of ladies and gentlemen ministers, in the absence of His Excellency the Minister of Energy and the Minister of Culture. At the beginning of the session, His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister explained the discussions that were held with a delegation of retired military forces and civilians, which were held in an atmosphere of cooperation. The meeting led to agreement on a proposal to unify the vision regarding the numbers and the estimated cost. This matter is being followed up with the Ministry of Finance in preparation for referring it to the Council of Ministers. The Council of Ministers also completed the study of the draft budget law, article by article, and some of it was amended, with the study to be completed on Friday, while tomorrow, Thursday at two o’clock, a session will be held in the Republican Palace headed by His Excellency the President of the Republic. In response to a question about whether the Council touched on the Israeli attacks, he said: At the beginning of the session, the Council touched on the repeated Israeli attacks, and reviewed the measures taken by Lebanon at the diplomatic level and the reviews it conducts before international forums in this regard.
