She stressed that "no US Navy warship was bombed," noting that all attempts failed. She added: "On the other hand, American forces succeeded in destroying 10 Iranian tankers during the past week alone. These ships were part of a secret, multi-billion-dollar network that funds the Revolutionary Guard, and Iran is unable to protect them." The Public Relations of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced, in a statement, that the Revolutionary Guard’s naval forces, “in response to the aggression and actions of the terrorist American army during its attack on 5 Iranian oil tankers in the Arabian Gulf,” targeted “two American ships and 8 oil tankers in this region, and caused them severe damage.”
