Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that “the enemy failed to divide the country or achieve a quick victory, and also failed to break the unity of the internal ranks,” noting that “the Iranian people continue to support him daily in the squares.”
Araqchi explained that the war represents a “golden point in Iran’s history,” considering that Tehran “succeeded during it in preventing two nuclear powers from achieving their goals.”
He added that “American bases in the region were used to launch operations against Iran,” stressing that his country “is not hostile to the countries of the region, but rather only targets the bases from which attacks are launched.”
In a message to the countries of the region, Araghchi called for “staying away from the United States,” expressing his surprise “at not condemning what he described as the American-Israeli war on Iran.”
Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, he said that “the Strait has turned into a new defeat for the enemy,” revealing that Iran is “studying special arrangements to manage it even after the end of the war,” stressing that it is “closed only to enemy ships.”
He pointed out that “the Iranian government has done everything in its power to mitigate the effects of the war on citizens,” pointing out that Tehran is “working to document all violations committed during the war in preparation for following them up in international forums.”
