The General Directorate of Customs announced that the Wildlife Control Division in Beirut was able to seize a large and diverse quantity of medicines and medical and cosmetic preparations, including “Botox” and “Fillers,” inside a warehouse in Beirut, which were stored in preparation for their transportation and sale outside the approved legal frameworks. The seized items included hundreds of types of medicines and preparations, including specialized medicines to treat cancer, blood diseases, and chronic diseases, biological treatments, and medicines for precise medical uses, in addition to preparations used in cosmetic medicine. Medicines and preparations were seized and violators were arrested under the supervision of the competent judiciary. The General Customs Directorate, in parallel with the judicial procedures, continues to trace the paths of the seized medicines and preparations, with the aim of uncovering all the threads of the case and identifying their sources, origin, and the entities associated with their supply and distribution, leading to verifying whether quantities of them have been previously distributed, and identifying the entities or centers that may have received or used any of them. The Directorate attached its statement to a list of the names of the seized medicines and preparations, in addition to pictures of the seized items.
